Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain test automation suites and frameworks using Java, Python, Gherkin, and Bamboo.
- Plan quality test approaches and create test designs and cases for assigned systems.
- Implement and execute test cases within documented designs and time frames.
- Document test results, report defects, and prepare results for release sign-off.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, support analysts, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Review vendor automation work, provide feedback, manage weekly updates, and use internally and externally developed automation tools.
- Participate as a practitioner and active member of the Quality Engineering & Testing Community of Practice.
- Report testing progress, communicate issues, and escalate matters to the Test Lead.
Requirements
- Approximately four to five years of experience in test automation.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining test automation frameworks using Java and Python.
- In-depth testing experience in a structured environment, including system, system integration, regression, end-to-end, and parallel testing.
- Experience testing futures or derivatives products or clearing systems.
- Experience setting up test environments and test data.
- Experience working in medium to large project teams.
- Experience with test management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Exposure to Git, Bamboo, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Maven, Gradle, JUnit, Cucumber, API testing, XML or other tag-based languages, CI/CD environments, multi-node automation, SQL Server integration, and SQL.
- Agile experience and familiarity with test automation tools are preferred.
- Ability to multitask and work with frequently changing priorities.
- Candidates must be legally authorised to work in Australia permanently without restrictions.
