Responsibilities
- Deliver large software projects and new product capabilities while maintaining key code repositories.
- Break down complex problems, resolve incident root causes, and improve maintainability, availability, and performance.
- Develop backend services and AI-powered clinical agents using LangGraph.js within a shared NestJS service.
- Integrate LangSmith for prompt management, tracing, evaluation pipelines, golden datasets, and CI-gated quality checks.
- Build agentic workflows using LLMs such as Claude Sonnet through AWS Bedrock.
- Contribute to the Member-Centric Knowledge Graph and RAG-based retrieval systems.
- Collaborate on technical roadmaps and architecture, mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and support developer tooling.
- Communicate technical solutions clearly and support code in production within an owner-operator DevOps culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of non-internship full-time professional software development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience delivering large software projects or features in production environments.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience building LLM applications, including prompt engineering, model integration, and AI output evaluation.
- Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or similar orchestration libraries.
- Familiarity with LangSmith or equivalent AI observability and evaluation platforms.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, including PHI/PII handling, guardrails, and output validation in healthcare or regulated environments.
- Preferred qualifications include mentoring experience, distributed systems or cloud infrastructure experience, healthcare technology experience, AWS experience, RAG or vector search experience, and durable multi-agent workflow experience using Temporal, LangGraph, or similar tools.
- Experience with LangGraph.js subgraphs, conditional routing, checkpointed state management, LangSmith Hub, prompt A/B testing, and CI-gated evaluation pipelines is preferred.
