Base Salary
$123k - $148k/yr
Responsibilities
- Onboard new customers to Fastly Security Products.
- Architect, implement, and maintain secure and performant Next-Gen WAF solutions across Edge WAF, Cloud WAF, and On-Prem WAF deployment models.
- Advise existing customers on additional features, health checks, and performance tuning.
- Create and deliver training materials to customers and internal teams.
- Support pre-sales activities, including proof-of-concept work and architectural guidance.
- Analyze project requirements, design and document solutions, and deliver projects to successful completion.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in solutions engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Experience creating and delivering advanced web and security solutions for enterprise customers; 3+ years is preferred.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with web application security concepts, including OWASP Top 10, DDoS, and rate limiting.
- Deep understanding of internet protocols, particularly HTTP and TLS, plus related troubleshooting tools and techniques such as curl, dig, and tcpdump.
- Preferred: application development experience in Rust, Go, or JavaScript.
- Preferred: industry-recognized security or cloud service or edge compute certifications such as CISSP, CISA, AWS, or GCP.
- Preferred: experience writing or decoding security exploits and vulnerabilities.
- Preferred: written and verbal bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
