Base Salary
$150k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade Generative AI solutions and own architecture decisions, technical patterns, and platform standards.
- Serve as a technical authority on LLMs, agentic systems, and emerging AI technologies across engineering.
- Evaluate, prototype, document, and recommend emerging AI tools, platforms, and techniques.
- Own technical estimates, solution feasibility assessments, and delivery accountability for complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Establish GenAI governance standards covering safety, security, and responsible production use.
- Define LLM observability and evaluation standards, including tracing, quality metrics, and production monitoring.
- Contribute secure, scalable, maintainable, and reliable software while championing engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 2 years focused on production GenAI systems and applications.
- Deep hands-on experience with LLMs, including context engineering, prompt design, structured outputs, and LLM evaluation.
- Experience with LLM observability and evaluation tools such as LangSmith, RAGAS, Arize, and PromptFlow.
- Proficiency in Python and working experience with LangGraph and/or LangChain.
- Experience with agent-based or multi-agent orchestration architectures and enterprise SaaS RESTful APIs.
- Experience with cloud-based backend development and relational data stores, preferably PostgreSQL or alternatively Azure SQL or SQL Server.
- Experience with unit, integration, and AI evaluation-layer testing, such as pytest.
- Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience includes LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, LLM fine-tuning, PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, RAG architectures, embeddings, vector databases, semantic similarity, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, OWASP Top 10, and software architecture principles.
