Responsibilities
- Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams in New York, London, India, and other locations.
- Work directly with users and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical architecture.
- Develop scalable enterprise-wide data models and services for listed-product lifecycles and firm-wide processing.
- Implement caching and messaging technologies for critical real-time reference data systems.
- Manage a team of two to three team members and oversee overall deliverables.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, preferably computer science.
- Strong understanding of Java technology and open-source frameworks including Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
- Experience with integration middleware, service-oriented architecture, cloud-native design, microservices, Spark, and Kafka.
- Experience with at least one public cloud offering: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Database development and debugging experience with stored procedures, Sybase, and/or DB2.
- NoSQL experience, preferably MongoDB, plus database design and modeling experience.
- Understanding of Python is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps is advantageous.
