$139k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build critical full-stack features and complex software solutions using Java.
- Define and influence scalable, resilient system architecture across multiple engineering teams.
- Deliver sprint commitments and participate in planning, code reviews, and Scrum ceremonies.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to engineering capabilities and product outcomes.
- Partner with stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Promote technical excellence, knowledge sharing, engineering best practices, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience building production-grade applications with Java.
- Strong knowledge of data structures and object-oriented design principles.
- Multiple years of hands-on experience with cloud-native development and container orchestration using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Extensive experience designing microservices and service-oriented architectures, including RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Strong working knowledge of Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Quarkus, Micronaut, or Vert.x.
- Experience with unit testing, automation, design patterns, and peer code review.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as Tekton, Harness, CircleCI, or Jenkins.
- Multiple years of experience working in agile and iterative delivery environments.
- Preferred experience with horizontally scalable and highly available distributed systems in AWS or OpenShift environments.
- Preferred exposure to Kafka, Spark, Flink, Terraform, CloudFormation, API management platforms, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK, or CloudWatch.
- Preferred experience mentoring and providing technical leadership to teams of five or more engineers, with exposure to React, Angular, RDBMS, and NoSQL databases.
