Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy production-grade internal and customer-facing software applications.
- Build and maintain high-throughput Big Data pipelines and billing services using Java and Flink.
- Perform root cause analysis, defect resolution, monitoring, automated testing, and production deployment.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Architecture to plan the engineering backlog and resolve impediments.
- Demonstrate products to stakeholders and help customers use them effectively.
- Participate in a rotating 24x7x365 support schedule for production services.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional software development and deployment experience.
- At least 6 years of strong backend programming experience with Java.
- Experience building Big Data pipelines with Flink and Kafka in AWS and Kubernetes-based environments.
- Strong experience building and using REST APIs, including Spring Boot and OpenAPI.
- Experience with SQL databases such as Aurora and PostgreSQL, and columnar storage such as Redshift.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery, Git, and GitLab.
- Experience operating production services in AWS, including EMR, Kinesis, Redshift, and RDS, as well as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience with automated testing, DevOps tools, production software lifecycles, and software deployment in large organizations with compliance requirements.
