Responsibilities
- Partner with enterprise customers to understand business strategy, drivers, and constraints and translate them into technology direction.
- Assess current-state technology landscapes and design target-state architectures aligned with business objectives.
- Develop transformation roadmaps that balance business value, risk, cost, and operational reality.
- Establish architecture principles, standards, and reference models for enterprise decision-making.
- Evaluate cloud, container, infrastructure, and AI options and provide clear recommendations.
- Present architectures, roadmaps, and rationale to customer executives and hands-on engineers.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and translator between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Engage on-site with customers across regions during discovery, design, and advisory activities.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to connect enterprise technology decisions to business goals and think holistically across systems.
- Broad technical fluency across private cloud, containers, operating systems, platform components, and AI infrastructure.
- Experience with private cloud platforms including OpenStack; Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes is preferred.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes-based platforms including Mirantis k0s and Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (MKE).
- Experience with multi-cluster management tools such as Mirantis k0rdent and workload orchestration across clusters and environments.
- Understanding of VMware vSphere environments, virtualization strategy, and modernization or migration paths.
- Understanding of bare-metal provisioning and physical infrastructure lifecycle.
- Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code or configuration-management approaches such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Understanding of enterprise AI infrastructure, including model serving, inference stacks, data, security, and governance implications.
- Strong communication skills for business and technical audiences.
- Ability and willingness to travel primarily within the EU and US.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience across infrastructure or platform engineering, including customer-facing architecture or advisory work.
- Familiarity with Software-Defined Networking, Software-Defined Storage, enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, hybrid or multi-cloud strategy, workload portability, additional European languages, and relevant cloud or container certifications are preferred.
