Base Salary
$90k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze business, stakeholder, and technical requirements and maintain traceability across requirements, designs, and test cases.
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain scalable software components and RESTful web services.
- Develop messaging, streaming, data integration, and universal adapter applications using Spark, Scala, Kafka, Sqoop, and JDBC adapters.
- Prepare and execute unit, integration, regression, and automated test cases and manage defects through resolution.
- Troubleshoot application performance, availability, production, and staging issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Manage Kubernetes deployments, scale pods, monitor application and infrastructure logs, and support CI/CD processes.
- Monitor application metrics, logs, maintenance data, milestones, and change requests.
- Conduct corrective, adaptive, and perfective maintenance and application re-engineering activities.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field; or bachelor's degree or equivalent in one of these fields plus two years of software engineering or related experience.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful web services with Java, Spring Boot, Akka, Apache Solr, Spring MVC, Maven, SonarQube, Tomcat, OneOps, BigQuery, XML Bans, Dozer, Eclipse IDE, Splunk, and OpenObserve.
- Experience participating in all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Experience building conceptual, logical, and physical data models for SQL and NoSQL databases and selecting big data technologies.
- Experience developing streaming and messaging applications using Spark, Scala, and Kafka.
- Experience managing Kubernetes deployments, scaling pods, and monitoring Jenkins and Kubernetes logs for microservices.
- Experience using Maven, Jenkins, Git, and Concord for CI/CD and working with Azure, Presto, BigQuery, Oracle, DB2, Cassandra, Cosmos DB, and Sybase.
- Experience integrating with HDFS using Sqoop and custom JDBC adapters and managing OneOps environments and DevOps platforms.
- Experience with production support, issue resolution, root cause analysis, JUnit unit testing, software security, and compliance.
