Base Salary

$174k - $252k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement high-performance responsive web interfaces and backend serving layers for AI observability suites.
  • Promote AI-first engineering workflows using agentic coding assistants, autonomous test harnesses, and automated review agents.
  • Build self-service capabilities for customizable views, ad-hoc metric exploration, and organization-wide AI adoption analysis.
  • Implement custom data visualization components using modern charting libraries.
  • Design, build, and optimize low-latency backend APIs serving large datasets with sub-second response times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Five years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • Three years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
  • One year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience programming in Java and Python.
  • Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Preferred: experience building web frontends, rich data visualization interfaces, data pipelines, analysis, visualization, and insights-generation systems.
  • Preferred: technical leadership capabilities involving workflow improvement, solution design, and effective implementation.
  • Preferred: excellent programming proficiency in Java, Flume, and Python.

Benefits

  • US base salary of $174000-$252000, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
  • Work involves collaboration with product managers, UX designers, UX researchers, and data scientists across Google and Alphabet.
