Responsibilities
- Design and implement architecture and deployment for high-performance integrated solutions spanning multiple application and technology platforms.
- Create architecture, system design, process-flow, UML, sequence-diagram, and other design artifacts.
- Oversee technical design and development for complex projects from concept through completion.
- Design security controls and ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, maintainable, extensible, portable, and functional.
- Evaluate technology and market trends and recommend improvements to enterprise architecture.
- Collaborate with implementation teams, business stakeholders, vendors, project managers, scrum masters, product owners, developers, engineers, and other technology teams.
- Develop effort estimates, functional breakdowns, roadmaps, and technical resource plans.
- Participate in architecture reviews and ensure adherence to technology standards and architectural principles.
- Troubleshoot complex systems-level problems and coordinate solutions across teams.
- Educate, coach, mentor, and provide technical guidance and feedback to team members.
- Facilitate communication between IT teams and business stakeholders on technical issues and major changes.
- Lead teams and projects involving both business and technical participants.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar industry role is required.
- At least 7 years of experience in two or more IT disciplines within a service-oriented architecture environment is required.
- At least 4 years of experience designing, implementing, and governing systems architecture in a complex business applications environment is required.
- Experience in software development and Agile methodologies is required.
- Strong knowledge of application security, services architecture, coding design patterns, infrastructure architecture, security architecture, database design, and software development methodologies is required.
- Experience with XML, web services, XSLT, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, GRID, ASP.NET, VB.NET, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL, content management systems, GUI development, NoSQL, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, microservices, and enterprise service buses is required or expected.
- Preferred experience includes 5 years architecting applications with .NET and Microsoft technologies and 2 years designing cloud-based systems.
- Preferred qualifications include experience across software development, infrastructure, data management, databases, cloud, networking, and security domains.
- Preferred qualifications include API, SOAP, WSDL, JSON, ESB, and XML solution experience; service-oriented architecture; and project management experience.
- Preferred credentials include Microsoft Technical Certifications and a Cloud Architect Certification.
- Healthcare and health-plan data knowledge, HIPAA security and privacy knowledge, and experience designing highly redundant and scalable enterprise transaction-processing systems are preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, collaboration, presentation, organizational, planning, analytical, and consensus-building skills are required.
