Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-quality features for video editing applications on iOS and macOS.
- Work across complex video application technical challenges and collaborate with engineers across Video Applications teams.
- Own frameworks, SDKs, or shared technical components end to end, including API design, implementation, cross-team adoption, and evolution.
- Break down large features into practical, implementable solutions and drive initiatives to completion.
- Contribute to products including Final Cut Pro, Motion, Compressor, and iMovie.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience with SwiftUI/Swift or UIKit/AppKit.
- Experience working in large, mature Objective-C codebases.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Track record of owning a framework, SDK, or shared technical component end to end.
- Experience working on large, cross-functional, multi-team projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Preferred: experience creating and refining APIs for adoption by other teams and developers.
- Preferred: familiarity with video editing, media processing, or graphics programming and a passion for professional creative tools and workflows.
