Responsibilities
- Partner with account executives as the technical lead on strategic deals from discovery and architecture design through demos, proofs of concept, and technical decisions.
- Advise customers on cloud architecture and deployment across self-hosted environments and LiveKit Cloud using AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Build live demos and reusable reference applications for voice agents, video pipelines, and telephony integrations.
- Scope and run proofs of concept, establish shared success criteria, and guide customers through production deployment.
- Design for connectivity, infrastructure, scale, reliability, and end-to-end latency.
- Create technical blogs, guides, webinars, and conference talks for developers and enterprises.
- Enable the regional team and share customer and market insights with Product and Engineering.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in solutions architecture, sales engineering, or customer-facing engineering, or equivalent hands-on engineering experience with strong customer instincts.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider, including architecting, deploying, and debugging real applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, networking fundamentals, load balancing, DNS, and firewalls/NAT.
- Ability to reason about connectivity, infrastructure, network paths, compute, co-location, model choice, latency, and AI agent experiences.
- Strong programming ability in at least one core SDK language: Python, TypeScript/Node, or Go.
- Clear communication skills for technical demos, presentations, and writing.
- Preferred experience with WebRTC, RTP/SRTP, WebSockets, STT/TTS providers, LLM integration, speech-to-speech models, turn detection, and telephony/SIP.
- Preferred experience speaking at meetups or conferences, technical writing, or open-source contributions.
