Responsibilities

  • Define the technical vision for a 2–4 person engineering team and the long-term strategy for Social & Store integration.
  • Architect and help implement foundational game social and store systems.
  • Lead technical vision, architecture, execution, and cross-disciplinary discussions across the project.
  • Collaborate with Product, UX Design, central teams, Riot partners, and vendors.
  • Establish technical direction and best practices for architecture and implementation.
  • Mentor engineers and provide feedback supporting their technical growth.
  • Ensure global social and store systems comply with Riot safety and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including delivery of live or shipped products at scale.
  • 3+ years of experience with related game systems such as social systems, e-commerce, or platform services.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Unreal Engine.
  • B.S. in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Preferred experience with in-game purchasing flows, entitlement systems, third-party platform integrations, client and backend tools, social system architecture, player engagement patterns, mentoring technical leaders, distributed teams, and AI-assisted engineering workflows.
