Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Solve challenging technical problems across the software stack, particularly in distributed systems.
  • Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software solutions.
  • Own work end to end, including requirements gathering, design reviews, implementation, code reviews, launches, operations, and continuous improvement.
  • Build secure, performant, highly available, always-on products and scale systems while balancing performance and cost.
  • Automate repetitive operational processes, create metrics, investigate software defects, and improve performance.
  • Participate in design discussions and code reviews while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide technical input into business decisions and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
