Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead backend data-plane architecture design for large-scale applications with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.
- Design and implement features that improve the developer experience for applications deployed through AWS Amplify.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, backend engineers, and cross-functional partners.
- Mentor junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and promote engineering excellence.
- Own features through the deployment lifecycle, including production performance monitoring.
- Contribute to improvements in software development processes and technologies.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred qualifications include 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred.
