Base Salary
$157k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate critical tier-0 backend services with 99.99%+ availability.
- Handle security-sensitive data and improve developer tooling.
- Design and implement scalable infrastructure and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Plan and safely execute production changes with engineering teams across Stripe.
- Build infrastructure for decentralized distributed systems and create artifact deployment pipelines.
- Build and harden custom Amazon Machine Images used to bootstrap EC2 instances.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for infrastructure systems.
- Participate in roadmap planning, prioritization, and collaboration with customers and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science or a related field.
- At least three years of software engineering or related experience.
- At least three years of experience with cloud technologies including AWS and Azure.
- At least three years of experience with Go, Python, or Java.
- At least three years of experience developing, maintaining, and debugging distributed systems.
- At least three years of experience with Linux OS, metrics, alarms, dashboards, NoSQL databases, and handling critical production incidents.
