Responsibilities
- Deliver new features, enhancements, and bug fixes to the algorithmic trading platform.
- Participate in technical analysis, design, data analysis and mapping, development, and testing across the full project life cycle.
- Provide occasional Level 2 and Level 3 support for front-office applications.
- Ensure adherence to functional architecture strategy and company development standards.
- Coordinate with business and development teams on priorities and project progress.
- Assist with managing projects for new system implementations or system upgrades when necessary.
- Work with quantitative teams to bring new trading strategies to market and evolve the algorithmic product portfolio.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience designing and developing algorithmic trading systems for equity markets.
- Hands-on coding and development experience in Java.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professionalism, teamwork, self-direction, initiative, prioritization, and execution skills.
- Experience with CI/CD automation is preferred.
- Exposure to distributed systems and message-oriented architecture is preferred.
- Understanding and ideally hands-on experience with event-driven systems is preferred.
- Experience with financial markets and local market characteristics is preferred.
- Knowledge of networks, TCP/IP, and enterprise messaging solutions is preferred.
