Responsibilities
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications and automations for trading, risk management, mid-office, and strategy development teams.
- Gather requirements and feedback from internal stakeholders and implement automation solutions.
- Own application development end to end, from requirements gathering through production.
- Balance latency, throughput, simplicity, scalability, maintainability, quality, and time to production.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues while delivering reliable, high-performance software.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Strong programming skills in Java 17 or later; experience with newer Java versions is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Comfort working in Linux environments.
- Experience gathering business requirements, communicating with stakeholders, and delivering solutions quickly.
- Ability to work on greenfield projects with minimal supervision and take ownership of applications.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, creative problem-solving, flexibility, and adaptability skills.
- A valid US passport for ESTA business trips and valid Australia travel authorization through ETA, eVisitor, or a visa.
