Responsibilities
- Perform and coordinate complex application programming activities.
- Design application technical infrastructure using databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches.
- Lead the design and development of cost-effective, innovative solutions.
- Develop multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with CIBC’s vision, strategy, and business goals.
- Lead complex projects involving backend systems, new technology, and enhancements to existing applications.
- Act as an application developer and run code-review sessions with the wider team.
- Support peer developers through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and problem solving.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of C#/.NET development experience with Test Driven Development experience, including TDD, ATDD, or BDD.
- One to three years of hands-on Databricks experience.
- Experience with .NET, C#, SQL Server, PowerShell, Databricks, ASP.NET, MVC, XML, JSON, .NET Core, Microservices, RESTful API, and Unit Testing.
- Knowledge of React, Agile, Azure, Azure Databricks, Elasticsearch, GraphQL, and SOLID design principles is an asset.
- A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related programming discipline is an asset.
