Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate distributed services for customer service resolution workflows at Amazon scale.
- Own full-stack features from requirements through production, including operational excellence and on-call responsibilities.
- Build APIs and integrations that combine data from multiple upstream services into customer-facing experiences.
- Make architectural and technical decisions, deliver incrementally, and resolve systemic reliability and complexity issues.
- Collaborate with product, UX, and partner engineering teams to translate customer problems into technical solutions.
- Mentor teammates, participate in design reviews, and improve code quality and operational rigor.
Requirements
- Require 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Require 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Require programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- Prefer 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Prefer a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Prefer experience debugging, profiling, and applying software engineering best practices in large-scale systems.
