Base Salary
$176k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create and enhance reusable development frameworks, foundational building blocks, utilities, wrappers, and critical services.
- Develop policies, standards, and guiding principles for contributions to compliance technology frameworks.
- Lead knowledge transfer with functional development teams and ensure foundational capabilities meet delivery needs.
- Review solution designs for business requirements and compliance with architectural and security standards.
- Champion product-based CI/CD pipelines and release artifact creation.
- Contribute to project plans and manage initiatives by directing resources, communicating status, and escalating issues.
- Provide technical subject-matter expertise and consultation on moderate- to high-risk projects.
- Facilitate collaboration and decision-making across technical and functional stakeholders.
- Analyze complex trading, order, and market data to identify surveillance gaps or anomalies.
- Support team objectives, client services, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in software development and technology architecture.
- Strong hands-on backend development experience with Java, Spring Boot, SQL and NoSQL databases, messaging technologies, and event-based architectures.
- Experience integrating multiple systems and platforms and applying data strategy, governance, and integration practices.
- Deep understanding of trade lifecycle, order flow, and market structure across equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX, and commodities.
- Experience in financial services, particularly trade surveillance and/or global markets.
- Experience with cloud technologies and architectures and large unstructured datasets, including communications, text messages, and instant messaging platforms.
- Experience with Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing, and Generative AI capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, stakeholder collaboration, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience driving technology strategies and roadmaps, leading agile teams, and working directly with business leaders and sponsors.
- Knowledge of emerging industry technologies and trends.
