Base Salary
$208k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner on the division’s technical vision, architectural direction, best practices, and quality standards.
- Lead large, ambiguous, cross-team projects from initial problem framing and design documentation through implementation, rollout, and operational support.
- Help teams evolve channel stacks and foundational primitives for sophisticated marketing use cases.
- Mentor engineers through coaching, code review, architecture review, and pairing.
- Improve observability, error handling, incremental rollouts, reliability, and operability across dashboard and delivery layers.
- Design and build foundational systems, frameworks, infrastructure, and developer tooling as a hands-on Staff Engineer.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including meaningful experience influencing multiple teams or complex product systems.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails and proficiency in modern frontend environments using TypeScript and React.
- Experience designing and shipping foundational infrastructure, frameworks, libraries, or platform services used by other engineers.
- Strong architectural judgment and the ability to make technical decisions supporting a maturing product suite.
- Strong communication, mentoring, consensus-building, and technical vision skills.
- Track record of identifying high-leverage work and driving ambiguous projects to completion with minimal direction.
- Bonus: experience with shared component libraries, design system primitives, real-time systems, event-driven architectures, developer experience tooling, code generation, scaffolding, CI/CD for large codebases, or scaling products from early stage to enterprise scale.
