- Validate end-to-end service interactions and integrations across microservices.
- Build and maintain Java-based API automation using REST Assured and supporting tools.
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Perform root cause analysis and participate in defect triage.
- Collaborate with backend, payments, cloud, and product teams.
- Contribute to test strategy, planning, execution, reporting, and quality tracking.
- Continuously improve automation coverage and quality practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in SDET or QA automation roles.
- Strong programming expertise in Java.
- Hands-on experience with REST Assured and familiarity with Postman/Newman; Karate experience is good to have.
- Experience testing API-first and microservices architectures.
- Strong understanding of service contracts, mocking and stubbing, JSON/XML validation, API schema validation, and integration testing patterns.
- Retail banking domain exposure covering accounts, payments, cards, onboarding, and transactions.
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, Maven, or Gradle.
- Strong debugging skills using Linux, logs, and backend tracing.
- Understanding of API fundamentals including endpoints, payloads, status codes, and authentication.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with banking regulatory and compliance testing, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Exposure to Cucumber, Allure, Extent, JMeter, k6, OAuth2, JWT, and certificate-based authentication is preferred.
