Base Salary

$147k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop new systems and tools in Go and Python using internal and open-source frameworks.
  • Collaborate with engineers across GKE and Google to define requirements, share insights, and deliver solutions.
  • Experiment with agentic solutions for test and release excellence.
  • Advocate for critical features and releases spanning the GCE-GKE stack to meet customer requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to manage upgrade lifecycles, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages and with data structures and algorithms.
  • At least 2 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Kubernetes.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Preferred: 3 years of experience building or managing distributed systems or cloud infrastructure with a focus on Kubernetes.
  • Preferred: Ability to contribute to Kubernetes or other open-source projects.
  • Preferred: Excellent communication and people management skills.

Benefits

  • US base pay is $147000 - $210000 USD, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
