Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot software components for secure, stable, and scalable technical products and applications.
- Write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
- Consider upstream and downstream systems and technical implications when implementing solutions.
- Apply technical troubleshooting to diagnose and solve basic-complexity problems.
- Use Software Development Life Cycle tools, automation capabilities, and authorized AI coding assistants to improve delivery and code quality.
- Validate AI-generated outputs through peer review, automated testing, secure coding standards, and responsible data-handling practices.
- Gather and analyze large, diverse data sets to identify problems and support decision-making.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 2 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, debugging, and code maintenance.
- Experience developing software in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database query languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle.
- Exposure to agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Preferred proficiency in Java and Spring Boot application development.
- React or Angular experience is preferred.
- Cloud platform experience, Python experience, and experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle are preferred.
