Base Salary
$180k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and long-term technical direction of systems supporting Manufacturing Execution, Supply Chain, Finance, Parts Traceability, and Inventory.
- Define APIs, data models, service boundaries, observability metrics, SLAs, and operational runbooks.
- Build resilient integrations between digital services and physical hardware tooling, including support for intermittent network connectivity.
- Stabilize essential services to 99.9% uptime, reduce manual planning and production interventions by more than 50%, and deploy broad asset traceability.
- Participate in on-call rotations, lead incident response, and drive improvements through postmortems and incident reviews.
- Work directly with manufacturing, supply chain, and flight operations teams to prototype workflows and adopt operational tools.
- Mentor peers and improve CI/CD and automated testing practices for safe, repeatable deployments.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience developing and maintaining full-stack production systems at scale, or demonstrated equivalent technical mastery.
- Strong product-minded engineering skills, including user-needs analysis, root-cause identification, pragmatic solution design, and sound technical tradeoffs.
- Ability to design maintainable systems, model data thoughtfully, and work through ambiguous operational problems with stakeholders.
- Experience defining service health metrics, reliability goals, operational runbooks, on-call practices, and incident improvements.
- A track record of shipping high-impact features with measurable improvements such as reduced downtime, less manual intervention, or increased throughput.
- Ability to collaborate closely with hardware, manufacturing, supply chain, flight operations, and other cross-functional partners in a safety-critical environment.
- Willingness to work regularly on site and travel up to 15% annually.
- U.S. citizenship is not required; work authorization sponsorship is available.
