Responsibilities
- Own the design, implementation, and operation of core routing services for flight plans.
- Translate operational objectives into quantifiable optimization targets.
- Implement algorithms for graph search, path planning, and dynamic re-routing.
- Build telemetry and simulation pipelines to measure routing quality.
- Define and own production SLAs and SLOs for routing services.
- Lead incident response for routing-related production outages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align route generation with operational needs.
- Mentor engineers and propose roadmap priorities.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in building and operating production distributed services.
- 3+ years of experience in optimization/routing/path-planning code.
- Proven experience with low-latency, high-availability services and incident management.
- Strong algorithms and systems fundamentals with experience in graph algorithms.
- Experience integrating safety constraints into online decision systems.
- Production experience in systems languages like Rust, Go, or C++.
- Track record of shipping measurable improvements to operational metrics.
- Clear communication skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
