Responsibilities
- Own one or more production services in the commerce stack end-to-end.
- Deliver measurable improvements in merchant onboarding and payment reconciliation.
- Lead cross-functional launches and define success criteria.
- Build and enforce marketplace controls and policy tooling.
- Ship partner integrations with clear SLAs and backpressure handling.
- Maintain observability and service reliability through monitoring and alerting.
- Mentor engineers and lead architecture reviews.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in building production distributed systems.
- Experience with transactional commerce, payments, or marketplace systems at scale.
- Strong systems engineering skills, including API design and data modeling.
- Demonstrated incident leadership and on-call experience.
- Proven ability to define and achieve key operational metrics.
- Deep proficiency in Go, Python, or similar backend languages.
- Familiarity with Kafka, gRPC, PostgreSQL, and observability tools.
