Responsibilities

  • Lead complex technology initiatives, including companywide efforts with broad organizational impact.
  • Serve as the design authority for Deposit Services applications and ensure solutions meet organizational standards, needs, and goals.
  • Design, code, test, debug, document, review, and analyze complex large-scale technology solutions.
  • Develop engineering standards and companywide best practices for complex technology solutions.
  • Make technical decisions, lead technology teams, drive initiatives, and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Collaborate with technical experts, senior technology teams, external industry groups, stakeholders, partners, and clients.
  • Lead projects and teams and serve as a peer mentor.
  • Identify issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate through resolution.
  • Support risk, compliance, governance, monitoring, escalation, and remediation requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Experience with Java/J2EE web application development and Spring, including Core, MVC, AOP, Batch, and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with REST, SOAP, GraphQL, JMS, messaging, Kafka, streaming technologies, Apigee, and test automation frameworks.
  • Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
  • Deep understanding of domain-driven design, object-oriented design principles and patterns, and non-functional requirements.
  • Experience with batch processes; Ab Initio knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with Azure or GCP cloud technologies and Kubernetes, Docker, or OpenShift.
  • Experience with Agile, Kanban, or Lean methodologies.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, collaborate, assess stakeholder needs, build relationships, and communicate effectively across organizational levels.
  • Ability to work proactively, creatively, independently, and collaboratively in a rapidly changing environment.
