Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product feature development autonomously and maintain, develop, and architect software applications and systems.
- Work hands-on as an individual contributor and act as a technical bridge between architects, product management, and engineering teams.
- Build and validate secure, high-quality solutions with strong unit test coverage and identify or address security vulnerabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer-escalated issues.
- Propose, prototype, and evaluate technical solutions through proofs of concept.
- Drive improvements in performance, scalability, developer productivity, technical processes, and solution quality.
- Maintain and own application deployments and chart definitions across the cloud-native technology stack.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or Electronics and Communication.
- 10+ years of application development experience using Java and cloud technologies.
- Strong experience implementing REST API-based applications with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, object-oriented programming, SOLID design principles, and common design patterns.
- Experience with at least one cloud stack, such as GCP or AWS.
- Exposure to cloud- and Kubernetes-based applications.
- Hands-on experience with a modern cloud-friendly programming language such as Python or Node.js is an advantage.
- Experience with unit testing and a BDD automation framework is preferred.
- Experience with relational databases such as MSSQL or MySQL.
- Exposure to microservices architecture and Docker-based applications is an advantage.
- Exposure to frontend technologies such as React or Angular is an advantage.
- Adaptability across different languages, frameworks, and platforms; experience leveraging AI in routine work or personal proofs of concept is an added advantage.
