Responsibilities
- Develop sensor-fusion and state-estimation algorithms that combine data from multiple onboard sensors.
- Build protocols that allow multiple robots to share tracking data and coordinate search patterns as a swarm.
- Write optimized, low-latency software for Linux-based compute modules on unmanned systems.
- Deploy production software to physical robots for customer demonstrations and operational testing.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for tracking and fusion product features.
Requirements
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience writing application-level software that runs onboard physical systems using Linux.
- Familiarity with electrical sensor integration such as I2C, SPI, CAN, or Ethernet is preferred.
- Understanding of localization, Kalman filtering, state estimation, and tracking fundamentals.
- Production-grade C++ or Rust programming experience and the ability to prototype in Python.
- Familiarity with modern build tools such as Nix.
- Preference for hands-on development and testing on physical hardware.
