Responsibilities

  • Implement and deliver new business functions and non-functional platform improvements.
  • Develop functional and non-functional requirements with engineers, quants, and traders.
  • Develop low-latency algorithms and related components and frameworks.
  • Build and deliver high-performance, low-latency trading applications.
  • Participate in code reviews as both an author and reviewer.
  • Actively improve team software development processes.

Requirements

  • Excellent core Java skills, preferably in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Experience with high-performance and/or low-latency development.
  • Familiarity with KDB, Q, Python, and shell scripting in Unix/Linux.
  • Experience building and delivering software using modern continuous-delivery patterns.
  • Sound grounding in computer engineering principles.
  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline, or equivalent qualification/work experience is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex requirements clearly.
