Responsibilities
- Implement and deliver new business functions and non-functional platform improvements.
- Develop functional and non-functional requirements with engineers, quants, and traders.
- Develop low-latency algorithms and related components and frameworks.
- Build and deliver high-performance, low-latency trading applications.
- Participate in code reviews as both an author and reviewer.
- Actively improve team software development processes.
Requirements
- Excellent core Java skills, preferably in Unix/Linux environments.
- Experience with high-performance and/or low-latency development.
- Familiarity with KDB, Q, Python, and shell scripting in Unix/Linux.
- Experience building and delivering software using modern continuous-delivery patterns.
- Sound grounding in computer engineering principles.
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline, or equivalent qualification/work experience is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex requirements clearly.
