Base Salary
$184k - $297k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain real-time, high-throughput security services and networking infrastructure.
- Lead complex engineering projects from architecture and design reviews through deployment and production monitoring.
- Architect and own critical GlobalProtect control-plane and data-plane components with high availability, fault tolerance, and scalable performance.
- Diagnose complex server-side and network-level issues with minimal diagnostic information.
- Promote secure coding, code reviews, performance tuning, robust architecture, automated testing, and high code coverage.
- Collaborate with product management, quality assurance, architecture, and field support across the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor senior engineers and influence long-term technical roadmaps.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and techniques to improve coding, debugging, and delivery efficiency.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience in enterprise networking or cybersecurity.
- Proficiency in C, Go (Golang), and Python in a Linux/Unix development environment.
- Extensive experience with multithreaded programming, asynchronous I/O, and large-scale, high-performance, or distributed server architectures.
- Hands-on experience developing TCP/IP networking software and understanding lower-level network protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects from conception through release.
- Ability to mentor senior engineers and collaborate across product management and architecture teams.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience includes RESTful API design and integration, CI/CD pipelines, AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or LLM coding assistants, test-driven development, automated integration testing, and performance profiling.
