Base Salary
$147k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build features and improve infrastructure to scale Google Cloud Load Balancing products.
- Contribute to hardware qualification, low-level software integration, system performance optimization, and fleet management projects.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software systems primarily using C++, Python, and Go.
- Collaborate with hardware vendors, SRE teams, service owners, and other cross-functional partners.
- Improve reliability, performance, security, and scalability across a large distributed fleet.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience with C++, Python, or Go.
- At least 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: understanding of computer architecture, server hardware, networking basics including switches and routers, and out-of-band management.
- Preferred: familiarity with Linux environments and system-level programming concepts.
- Preferred: interest in distributed systems, operating systems, or low-level software.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
