Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical authority for post-sales customers, guiding deployment architecture, environment design, and adoption of Coder across human and AI development workflows.
- Own customer onboarding engagements end to end and lead Get Well engagements addressing architecture, rollout, organizational, or customer-health challenges.
- Help customers adopt agentic development practices, including relevant technical and organizational changes, governance, and audit considerations.
- Design, document, and scale repeatable onboarding, architecture, adoption, and delivery patterns across customer segments.
- Recommend customer-specific reference architectures and provide guidance on networking, ingress, identity, and infrastructure patterns.
- Anticipate technical and operational risks, coordinate escalation, and track issues through resolution.
- Create technical documentation, architecture guides, how-to resources, and statements of work.
- Capture structured deployment feedback and advocate for product and engineering roadmap and usability improvements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Platform Engineering, or an equivalent post-sales technical role guiding enterprise customers through complex deployments.
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying cloud infrastructure on AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
- At least 2 years of experience deploying or operating AI coding agents in production or near-production environments, including understanding agent execution, credential management, governance, and auditing.
- Ability to explain the architectural distinction between workspace-local agent tooling and centralized agentic harnesses to security and compliance stakeholders.
- At least 2 years of production Kubernetes experience covering cluster design, workload scheduling, networking, storage, and operational lifecycle.
- At least 2 years of experience with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tooling.
- Solid Linux systems administration and cloud-native networking knowledge, including ingress controllers, proxies, load balancers, and DNS resolution.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline design, DevOps practices, cloud security, identity, IAM, network segmentation, secrets management, compliance controls, and observability.
- Ability to design repeatable delivery patterns and manage organizational and workflow change alongside technical change.
- Strong verbal and written communication, customer empathy, analytical thinking, self-direction, and autonomy.
- Preferred qualifications include experience across startups and larger software organizations, a prior software, DevOps, or platform engineering background, regulated environments, disaster recovery, multi-region availability, cloud cost optimization, Tailscale, Kubernetes certifications, open-source contributions, Backstage.io, developer platforms, new operating models, LLM gateways or proxies, AI governance, SIEM integration, and human-in-the-loop agent workflows.
