Responsibilities
- Analyze customer requirements and propose application architecture, interfaces, database structures, and cloud-native development approaches.
- Perform business analysis and build maintainable, extensible applications that automate business processes.
- Develop backend applications and microservices primarily with Java Spring Boot.
- Modernize, refactor, and decompose monolithic applications into microservices.
- Develop and run automated tests and verify functionality before deployment.
- Write and maintain technical system and business-logic documentation, including UML documentation.
- Maintain applications, fix bugs, and perform root-cause analysis and problem solving.
- Prepare GitLab CI/CD pipelines in cooperation with DevOps engineers.
- Deploy applications to cloud infrastructure and manage software releases.
- Prepare and perform data migrations.
- Contribute to the developer knowledge base and propose process optimizations.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of programming experience with Java Spring Boot in complex application landscapes.
- Expertise with MapStruct, Lombok, Liquibase, OpenAPI Generator, and WireMock.
- Experience with Git, Maven, Gradle, and UML.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Firestore.
- Experience with at least one of AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Open Telekom Cloud.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, message-based communication, and an API-first approach.
- Experience with Scrum software development and Jira.
- Upper-intermediate English proficiency at B2 level.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and analytical-thinking skills.
