Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and continuously improve backend services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
- Build and evolve microservices and REST APIs for the Charisma solution.
- Translate business requirements into maintainable and scalable technical solutions.
- Optimize performance, stabilize production services, and improve system reliability.
- Design data models and work with PostgreSQL, SQL optimization, and database migrations.
- Apply Domain-Driven Design, Event-Driven Architecture, Clean Architecture, and established design patterns.
- Design and document APIs using OpenAPI and Swagger.
- Build and maintain REST-based integrations, including TARDIS.
- Develop automated unit, integration, API, performance, and load tests.
- Use Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD throughout the development and delivery lifecycle.
- Improve observability and troubleshooting using monitoring, logging, Prometheus, Grafana, LUMINA, and OpenTelemetry.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, quality engineers, and business experts to deliver end-to-end functionality.
- Contribute to rollout activities and continuous improvement of the overall solution.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, and the Spring Framework.
- Experience developing and maintaining microservices and REST APIs.
- Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL, data modeling, and performance optimization.
- Experience with Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, Spring Security, Spring Web, and Spring Validation.
- Understanding of Domain-Driven Design, Event-Driven Architecture, Clean Architecture, and software design patterns.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle for build and dependency management.
- Familiarity with JUnit 5, Mockito, Testcontainers, and API testing solutions.
- Experience with performance and load testing for large-scale applications.
- Practical experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of observability, monitoring, and logging for reliable applications.
- Experience with REST-based integrations and TARDIS.
- English proficiency at a minimum B2 level.
- AWS experience, Kotlin knowledge, Reactive Programming/WebFlux experience, and route optimization technology knowledge are preferred.
