Responsibilities
- Develop new and maintain existing application source code using Java and related frameworks.
- Analyze customer requirements and propose application and framework designs, including interfaces and relational database structures.
- Implement customer requirements into functional, user-friendly applications and test functionality before deployment.
- Provide development, testing, and bug-fixing estimates for customer budget planning.
- Implement application security concepts in accordance with PSA and Deutsche Telekom standards.
- Collaborate with customers, project managers, product owners, and Scrum teams on application delivery and technology choices.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and participate in internal evaluation processes.
- Take technology-focused product responsibility and contribute to architectural evolution and cloud migration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology.
- At least 5 years of experience developing complex solutions.
- Experience programming applications with object-oriented programming languages, especially Java.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, or Quarkus.
- Experience with agile software development, such as Scrum.
- Advanced programming knowledge and broad hardware/software and IT understanding.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills.
- English proficiency at least at B2 level; German is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Angular, React, testing tools or frameworks, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, databases, or Grafana is advantageous.
