Base Salary
$120k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own technical projects from scoping and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production maintenance.
- Build and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant backend systems and production APIs using REST and gRPC.
- Operate production services through monitoring, observability, incident response, and performance troubleshooting.
- Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot services using AWS cloud services.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries for analytical and transactional workloads.
- Translate customer, business, product, and go-to-market requirements into technical solutions.
- Contribute to analytics, attribution, instrumentation, and event-driven data pipelines for measurement and reporting.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience owning technical projects end to end in production environments.
- Hands-on experience building backend systems and designing or consuming production APIs.
- Strong practical AWS experience, including deployment, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Python, Django and/or FastAPI, REST API design, and asynchronous patterns.
- Experience with PostgreSQL query optimization and schema design.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Preferred experience with analytics, attribution, adtech, event-driven or data pipelines, and instrumentation.
- Preferred familiarity with ClickHouse or other column-oriented OLAP databases at scale.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, real-time data systems, Kafka, Redis Streams, or high-throughput API design.
- Prior experience at an early-stage startup or major technology company shipping production code is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred but not required.
