Responsibilities
- Design, develop, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models for complex business problems.
- Develop demand price elasticity and counterfactual simulation solutions to optimize consumer pricing policy.
- Design ML system architecture, including algorithmic training pipelines, scalable inference infrastructure, and monitoring.
- Own ML solutions end to end from initial prototyping through production deployment.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Product stakeholders to connect model development with production systems.
- Drive MLOps practices including model versioning, feature stores, and automated ML delivery workflows.
- Communicate algorithmic choices and latency-versus-accuracy trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Build relationships across Data and Engineering organizations to integrate ML systems with the wider platform.
Requirements
- Strong experience in machine learning and developing ML infrastructure platforms for consumer pricing and policy-related products.
- Hands-on experience building predictive and causal data science models using Python, pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and TensorFlow.
- Proficiency in Python and software engineering principles applied to machine learning.
- Experience designing and operating production ML systems beyond notebook-based training, including batch inference, event-driven architectures, and REST APIs.
- Experience productizing and deploying models using cloud-native ML platforms such as AWS SageMaker or GCP Vertex AI.
- Familiarity with Airflow, MLflow, and Docker for orchestration, tracking, and containerization.
- Understanding of data engineering fundamentals including SQL and distributed data processing.
- Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
