Responsibilities
- Design, develop, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models for demand price elasticity, counterfactual simulation, and consumer pricing policy optimization.
- Build ML training pipelines, scalable inference infrastructure, monitoring systems, and production ML platforms.
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle from model prototyping through production deployment and ongoing improvement.
- Drive MLOps practices including model versioning, feature stores, orchestration, tracking, and deployment automation.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Product stakeholders, and broader Engineering teams to integrate ML systems into the platform.
- Communicate algorithmic decisions and latency-versus-accuracy trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong experience developing machine learning infrastructure platforms for consumer pricing and policy-related products.
- Hands-on experience developing predictive and causal data science models using Python, pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and TensorFlow.
- Proficiency in Python and software engineering principles including object-oriented design, design patterns, and testing as applied to machine learning.
- Experience designing and operating production ML systems beyond notebook-based training, including batch inference, event-driven architectures, and serving patterns.
- Experience productizing and deploying models using cloud-native ML platforms such as AWS SageMaker or GCP Vertex AI.
- Familiarity with Airflow, MLflow, Docker, orchestration, model tracking, and containerization tools.
- Understanding of data engineering fundamentals including SQL and distributed data processing.
- Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
