Responsibilities

  • Advise customers and resolve complex MongoDB questions involving architecture, performance, recovery, security, and related infrastructure concerns.
  • Serve as an expert resource on best practices for operating MongoDB at scale.
  • Advocate for customer needs by interfacing with product management and development teams.
  • Contribute to internal software development projects for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics support tools.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and real-time problem resolution in a 24/7 support organization.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of specific technical engineering experience.
  • Strong technical experience in one or more of systems administration, distributed systems, network administration, database architecture and administration, application architecture, data architecture and design, or performance tuning and benchmarking.
  • For operations-focused candidates, experience administering large-scale production environments, including hardware, operating systems, networks, and cloud-based resources.
  • Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, adaptability, and a desire to learn new technical skills.
  • Experience with Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, Go, PHP, or Perl is preferred.
