Responsibilities
- Plan, design, develop, and manage Java-based applications using microservices architecture.
- Own application development through systems analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
- Analyze complex application and business-process problems and provide recommendations.
- Participate in feasibility studies, estimates, IT planning, and model development.
- Implement security measures and comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups on technical issues.
- Advise and coach new or junior team members.
- Provide user and operational support to maintain application stability and functionality.
- Assess business risks with consideration for the firm's reputation and client and asset security.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of relevant hands-on software development experience using Java.
- Expert proficiency with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and microservices development.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Strong exposure to Oracle databases.
- Experience analyzing systems and programming complex software applications.
- Bachelor’s or university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Preferred working knowledge of consulting or project management techniques and methods.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and ability to manage deadlines and changing requirements.
- Ability to work independently and with a high degree of autonomy.
