Responsibilities
- Investigate data lineage across billing platforms, transactional processors, legacy portals, and operational services to identify authoritative customer and account data sources.
- Gather and document requirements for a single source of truth for customer identity in Salesforce.
- Perform exploratory data analysis, detect schema drift and duplicate records, and define source-to-destination mapping rules.
- Help design and build modular, reusable data extraction, transformation, and ingestion workflows.
- Write SQL transformations, views, and data-processing routines in Snowflake.
- Map staged Snowflake data into standard and custom Salesforce objects with Salesforce developers and enterprise architects.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and architectural design reviews with senior systems engineers.
- Document data dictionaries, entity-relationship diagrams, integration flows, and automated validation tests.
- Use AI-assisted developer workflows and automation tooling for querying, schema mapping, and documentation.
Requirements
- Pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Academic or project experience writing SQL queries using joins, aggregations, and window functions.
- Understanding of relational database principles, including foreign keys, indexing, and entity relationships.
- Working knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python or Java.
- Familiarity with standard version control workflows using Git or GitHub.
- Strong curiosity and analytical ability to investigate complex systems and data discrepancies.
- Interest in building reusable tools, scripts, and data models rather than one-off solutions.
- Ability to communicate complex data structures clearly when working with stakeholders.
- Prior experience with Snowflake or Salesforce is preferred but not required.
