Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure for highly available event-driven workloads and enterprise integrations.
  • Implement scalable Infrastructure-as-Code and platform provisioning automation using Terraform.
  • Build and operate secure CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, release strategies, testing, and environment management.
  • Design and manage AWS networking, hybrid connectivity, ingress, traffic routing, and content delivery.
  • Implement cloud security controls, identity integrations, encryption, secrets management, vulnerability management, audit logging, and compliance checks.
  • Operate observability solutions covering monitoring, centralized logging, tracing, alerting, dashboards, and operational analytics.
  • Support Kafka/MSK operations including topic management, access controls, capacity planning, monitoring, scaling, and disaster recovery.
  • Improve platform reliability, scalability, performance, security, and operational supportability with engineering teams.
  • Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, backup and recovery validation, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity activities.
  • Drive FinOps initiatives through cloud consumption monitoring, resource optimization, governance, tagging, and cost reporting.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop platform standards, operational runbooks, automation initiatives, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience designing and operating AWS-based cloud platforms.
  • Strong experience with AWS services, cloud networking, Infrastructure-as-Code, Terraform, CI/CD, DevSecOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
  • Experience supporting highly available, secure, scalable distributed systems in production environments.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka, AWS MSK, or RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with identity and access management, enterprise federation, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, and Single Sign-On.
  • Experience implementing monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and operational analytics solutions.
  • Strong scripting and automation experience using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with FinOps, cloud cost optimization, resource utilization analysis, tagging strategies, budget governance, and cost reporting.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, disaster recovery, high availability, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in business-critical production environments.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Preferred qualifications include AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Security Specialty, CKA, CKAD, SRE practices, multi-account AWS governance, Control Tower, landing zones, and enterprise cloud operating models.
