Responsibilities
- Develop robust error-handling mechanisms to improve application resilience.
- Implement logging and monitoring solutions for timely error detection and resolution.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues to provide efficient resolutions.
- Maintain and enhance applications to meet evolving business requirements.
- Optimize JVM sizing for application performance and resource utilization.
- Manage application configurations and version control.
- Use cloud-based and containerization technologies to deploy and scale applications.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software development experience with high-volume e-commerce or online retail services, including 5 years focused on front-end and integration technologies.
- Proficiency in Node.js-based technologies and/or Java, microservices, and integration technologies such as Kafka.
- Experience with API management using Apigee or Mulesoft and identity technologies such as Ping Federate, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Experience running workloads on AWS, Azure, or GCP and using container technologies such as Docker and Cloud Foundry.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment in a DevOps-oriented product development environment and familiarity with Splunk, New Relic, and PagerDuty.
- Knowledge of system and technical design principles, performant coding practices, and balancing security with functionality and performance.
- Experience creating conceptual go-live plans and evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of multiple options.
- Experience with content management systems or personalization systems is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, decision science, or a related analytical field is required; an MBA or related master’s degree is preferred.
