Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own scalable, resilient software services and components, including low-level system design, API design, and data modeling.
- Lead complex features and services through the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and operational support.
- Drive technical direction, engineering best practices, code quality, observability, testing, and performance within the team.
- Collaborate with product, design, and partner engineering teams to deliver reliable and scalable integrated solutions.
- Integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions safely in real-world products.
- Debug and resolve production issues, improve reliability, and reduce operational toil through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Ownership of services or components spanning technical design, implementation, quality, and operational health.
- Proficiency in system design, API design, and data modeling for scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
- Experience with service-oriented or microservices architectures, automated testing, continuous integration and delivery, and production monitoring.
- Experience designing and evolving large-scale distributed systems or high-traffic services, including performance tuning, capacity planning, and resilience engineering.
- Technical leadership experience, including design and code reviews, mentoring engineers, and influencing engineering practices.
- Deep experience with observability and operational excellence, including metrics, logging, alerting, incident response, and post-incident analysis.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML-enabled features or services into production and managing related quality, security, and misuse risks.
- Familiarity with AI-driven development tools or workflows such as code generation, intelligent testing, or operational insights.
