Base Salary
$150k - $178k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead software and design reviews, establish development standards, and guide technical decisions aligned with strategic product goals.
- Participate in the full application lifecycle, including coding, debugging, deployment, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting.
- Build scalable web applications, reusable code, libraries, and API-first software projects.
- Develop and maintain environment configurations, monitor system health, and support production systems through on-call incident response.
- Optimize application, database, caching, and system performance, including troubleshooting bottlenecks and implementing improvements.
- Enhance development tools, test coverage, code structure, and UI, unit, integration, and automation testing.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, system administrators, engineering teams, product teams, customers, and vendors.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical training and support to internal teams.
- Manage and improve legacy applications using modern technologies while gathering and addressing technical and design requirements.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of related software development experience, or 6 years with an advanced degree.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong programming skills in an object-oriented language such as Java or C#, with proven full-stack development experience.
- Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular, along with HTML and CSS.
- Understanding of the complete software development process, including design, development, and deployment.
- Experience developing and deploying applications for cloud-native infrastructure and using Kubernetes.
- Advanced experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and caching mechanisms.
- Deep understanding and practical application of REST API best practices, including security, scalability, and performance.
- Experience with monitoring and supporting production systems, system performance optimization, OpenTelemetry, and on-call rotations.
- Advanced testing experience including unit tests, UI automation tests, and integration tests.
- Strong analytical, time-management, written communication, verbal communication, independent problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, SaaS experience in technology or financial industries, Amazon Web Services and Kubernetes experience, and cross-platform mobile development experience with Flutter.
