Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, developer-friendly security solutions that integrate into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with the Staff Security Engineer to build AI- and MCP-powered tooling.
- Lead secure coding workshops, hands-on labs, and threat modeling sessions.
- Build and grow Bumble’s Security Champions program to enhance security culture.
- Create internal toolkits and guidance for developers to make secure decisions.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Security to identify and improve secure development workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Application or Product Security.
- Deep understanding of SDLC security practices, including threat modeling and code review.
- Hands-on experience with security tools that enhance developer productivity.
- Strong familiarity with modern cloud environments like AWS and GCP.
- Proven ability to simplify complex security principles for developers.
- Excellent collaboration skills across Security, Engineering, and Product teams.
- Demonstrated success in balancing engineering velocity with security best practices.
- Some coding experience and a strong build-vs-buy mindset.
